New Delhi, Jan 28, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) solicited bids on Saturday for five years of title sponsorship rights for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) from 2023 to 2027.
This occurred three days after the board revealed the successful bidders for five WPL franchises.
Through Adani Sportsline Pvt. Ltd., Adani Group won the Ahmedabad franchise with the highest bid of INR 1289 crore. With a bid of INR 912.99 crore, Indiawin Sports Pvt. Ltd won the Mumbai franchise. Royal Challengers Sports Pvt. Ltd, JSW GMR Cricket Pvt. Ltd, and Capri Global Holdings Pvt.
In a release, the Indian cricket board said, “The BCCI invites proposals from reputable organisations for title sponsorship rights for Women’s Premier League Seasons 2023-2027.”

You will receive the “Request for Proposal” (RFP) after paying a non-refundable charge of INR 1,00,000 (Indian Rupees One Lakh) plus any applicable Goods and Services Tax. It explains the entire tender procedure, including who can apply, how to submit bids, the rights and obligations of the title sponsor, etc.
“Annexe A to this notice outlines the processes necessary to obtain the RFP papers. The RFP will be available until February 9, 2023, according to the document.
To submit a bid, one must purchase the ITT. However, you can only submit a bid if you meet the qualifications outlined in the ITT and agree to its additional terms and conditions. It is made clear that merely purchasing this ITT does not entitle anyone to bid.
The statement read, “BCCI maintains the right to terminate or alter the bidding procedure at any moment and for any reason.”
On January 16, Viacom18 Media Private Limited won the combined bid for media rights of the WPL (Global Television Rights and Global Digital Rights). These rights extend through the years 2023 to 2027.
Viacom18 got the rights by bidding 951 billion rupees, or 7.09 billion rupees each match.
The inaugural season of the WPL, which will consist of 22 games, is anticipated to begin in March. The auction of players will most likely occur in February.
