Sourav Ganguly returns after leaving the chair of BCCI President, got this responsibility in IPL

Former President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has once again returned to the cricket field. Sourav Ganguly will now be seen playing a big responsibility for the Delhi Capitals team of the Indian Premier League. Delhi Capitals has appointed Sourav Ganguly as its Director of Cricket.

Sourav Ganguly set to become Cricket Association of Bengal president again

This is the first time after being discharged from the post of BCCI President that Sourav Ganguly is returning to a major post related to cricket. Right now, the role of Sourav Ganguly has not been explained in detail by Delhi Capitals, but looking at the example of other teams, he can appear in the leadership role of coaching as well as a mentor.

Sourav Ganguly has worked with Delhi Capitals in IPL before. In the year 2019, Sourav Ganguly was the mentor of Delhi Capitals. However, this time his role may be a bit bigger as the Delhi Capitals franchise has bought teams in South Africa League and Dubai Cricket League apart from IPL.

Sourav Ganguly has left the post of BCCI President in October 2022, as he did not get an extension for the second term. Sourav Ganguly was present on the post of BCCI President for three years, but now he is going to appear in IPL again. Sourav Ganguly will be paired with coach Ricky Ponting in Delhi Capitals.
