Important things related to retention
The mini auction will be held in Kochi on December 23. At the same time, all the teams will get the freedom to spend an additional Rs 5 crore. Teams have been allowed to add Rs 5 crore more to the purse. This means that the purse of the team will be 95 crores instead of 90 crores.
The IPL had asked its 10 franchises to submit their list of retained players by November 15. For IPL 2023, there is no limit on the retention of players by the teams, a team can retain as many players as they want.
Kolkata Knight Riders wicket-keeper batsmen Sam Billings, Pat Cummins and Aaron Finch have ruled themselves out of the upcoming season.
