Patna, State Bureau: The much-awaited caste-based census in Bihar will duly begin from Saturday morning. Under this, the work of numbering the houses will be done for the next 15 days. For this, a vision map has been prepared at the ward level. After marking the number, the enumerators will count the households on the basis of ward. An enumerator has to count 150 houses. Two enumerators have been appointed in one ward. The number of enumerators can be increased if the ward is big.
Houses will be numbered from the North West part of the ward
The work of marking the numbers on the houses will start from the north-west part of the ward. The enumerators will move in the anti-clockwise direction. Then after completing the work of marking the numbers, they will reach the same place from where they started. In later days, these numbers given on the houses would be known as the permanent address of the person concerned. A target has been fixed to complete the entire process of numbering by the end of this month.
Ten columns have been made, the signature of the head of the family is necessary
Under caste-based enumeration, the enumerator who arrived at the house has to fill ten types of information. In the tenth column, the signature of the head of the house where the enumeration will reach is also mandatory. If two or three families live in a house, then all will be counted in different forms. It is also to be informed that on which date the enumerator went to whose house to count. There will be two enumerators for multi-storey building in urban area.
While in UP, Samajwadi Party of Akhilesh Yadav has been advocating Caste Counting rather cautiously (as it sets its eyes on UP Upper Caste votes too), it is smaller OBC caste based parties of UP and all political parties of Bihar which are agitating for caste counting. pic.twitter.com/O4BDeyFzMv
