India has blocked the Pakistani government’s official Twitter account.When attempting to access the Pakistani government’s Twitter account, the following message appears: “Account Withheld @GovtofPakistan’s account has been suspended in India in response to a legal demand.” This is the second time in six months that India has frozen the account.
What prompted Indian officials to take action against the official Twitter handle of the Pakistani government remains unknown.In response to a legal demand, the Pakistani government’s Twitter account has been blocked in India, according to a notice on the social media platform, as reported by Reuters.
The company’s policies permit it to withhold entire accounts in response to a genuine legal demand, such as a court order, if required to do so by law.The @GovtofPakistan account remained accessible for viewing and interaction from countries including the United States and Canada. The IT ministries of Twitter, India, and Pakistan have yet to respond.

In October 2022, the Pakistani government’s official Twitter account was also suspended. It was also suspended in July before being reactivated.
