At his son Ram Charan’s birthday party on Monday, actor Chiranjeevi honored director SS Rajamouli and composer MM Keeravani for bringing home the Academy Award for RRR. Naatu Naatu was performed live at the Oscars, and the performance received a standing ovation. Deepika Padukone introduced the performance while the audience applauded whenever she mentioned the name of the song. In his acceptance speech for the Oscar for Naatu Naatu, MM Keeravani stated, “There was only one wish on my mind…RRR must win…the pride of every Indian…and it must put me on top of the world.”

RRR is a fictional story set in the pre-independence era of the 1920s that is inspired by the lives of two actual heroes and well-known revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. While Ram Charan performed the role of Ram, Tarak was portrayed as Bheem.

During its theatrical run, RRR grossed over Rs1200 crore worldwide and was widely praised for its breathtaking action sequences. The official Twitter account for RRR movie announced earlier this month that the film has entered its twentieth week of release in Japanese theaters. It was captioned as follows: “This tweet’s engagement and compliments demonstrate how RRR is progressively penetrating Japan’s roots with each passing day. I’m ecstatic that the film is presently running in 202 theaters for its 20th week and is attracting such a large audience. “I love you, Japan”
