“Aspiring entrepreneurs are innovating and launching enterprises to realise CM Yogi’s vision of bringing the internet to every village. “One of these startups has developed a 5G WiFi network to promote the digital revolution in the state’s rural and underdeveloped regions,” the report stated.
According to the official announcement, the distinguishing feature of this Wi-Fi network is that users can access the internet for free for up to 60 GB per month and 2 GB per day. In addition, they only need to pay a nominal fee for excessive use.
Even residents were benefiting from the state’s digital transformation as a result of improved accessibility to high-speed internet, according to the release.
“Kumar Satyam of Saharanpur has created a WiFi network to promote the digital revolution in Saharanpur’s rural areas that lack internet access. “Using Artificial Intelligence (AI), Satyam has developed an open public WiFi network for the public, which people are using to access the internet,” read the statement.
According to Satyam, a startup tasked with implementing the state’s digital plans, the work began with a pilot project at the Maa Shakambhari Devi Temple in Saharanpur and its environs.
He reported that a special type of device he had created had been installed on the village’s streetlights and electric poles, thereby making Wi-Fi accessible throughout the entire community.
He stated, “Microdata has been incorporated into the network using advanced AI, which includes the NCERT curriculum for classes 1 through 12. Consequently, even minors are reaping the benefits of e-education. Jan Suvidha Kendra services are also accessible via mobile phones.
The work to connect Saharanpur city and its 27 surrounding villages with an Open Public Network (WiFi) is also proceeding at a rapid rate. Currently, residents of Saharanpur city and a few surrounding villages are making use of this service. More than 7,000 residents of Saharanpur will benefit in the following days, according to Satyam.
Entrepreneur Kumar Satyam reported that a model panchayat is being established in the Balvantpur village of Saharanpur in order to provide the locals with a variety of digital services.
