Cong’s remark about the increase in Amul milk prices
The Gujarat Cooperative Amul Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which is the owner of the renowned Amul brand, increased milk prices by 3 rupees per litre for all varieties on Friday, prompting the Congress to criticise the government. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, a Congress member, criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, claiming that the raise will harm the average person.
“The average person will be impacted if the cost of Amul milk goes up. Even though Modi and Amit Shahji may not drink milk, milk consumption is essential for our nation’s youth. The government has been transparent about its intentions by raising the price of milk.”
The Congress tweeted about how it impacts the average person. “What financial impact would the $3 per litre increase in milk prices have? You will now have to pay an additional 6 per day if your household drinks two litres of milk daily.” Additionally, the opposing party noted that a family will pay 180 more each month and 2,160 more year.
