Cricketer Yuvraj Singh in trouble, got notice for giving villa ‘homestay’ without permission in Goa

Rajesh Kale, deputy director of the Goa Tourism Department, has issued a notice on November 18 at the address of cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s villa ‘Casa Singh’ located in Morjim. In this, Yuvraj Singh has been asked to appear for a personal hearing on December 8 at 11 am.

Goa Tourism Department has sent a notice to cricketer Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj Singh has received this notice for letting his villa in Morjim on rent without permission and registration. He has been called for hearing in the matter on 8 December. In fact, under the Goa Tourism Business Act 1982, villas cannot be used as ‘homestays’ without registration in the state.

According to the news agency, Goa Tourism Department’s Deputy Director Rajesh Kale has issued a notice on November 18 at the address of cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s villa ‘Casa Singh’ located in Morjim. In this, Yuvraj Singh has been asked to appear for a personal hearing on December 8 at 11 am.

The department asked – why action should not be taken?

In the notice, Yuvraj Singh has also been asked why punitive action should not be taken against him for not registering the villa under the Tourism Trade Act. The notice states that it has come to the notice that the residential complex located at Morjim is allegedly being used as a homestay and is also available for booking online.

The notice also mentions a tweet by Yuvraj, in which he told that his villa in Goa is available for booking. It has been said in the notice that if the reply does not come by December 8, it will be assumed that the allegations in the notice are true and under Section 22, you can be fined up to one lakh rupees for violating the Act.
