Punjabi Singer Daler Mehndi: Famous Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi is once again in headlines. This time the reason for headlines is not his song, but the action taken against him in Gurugram, Haryana. In fact, Gurugram district administration officials on Tuesday sealed the farm house of three people, including singer Daler Mehndi, near Damdama Lake in Sohna. A senior official of the city planning department gave this information.
District Town Planner (DTP) Amit Madholia said, ‘These were unauthorized farmhouses built in the catchment area of the lake. All these three farmhouses have been sealed. These were made in the Aravalli range without any permission. Explain that following the order of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in Sonya Ghosh vs State of Haryana, this campaign has been launched against the three farmhouses with the help of the police. During the action, a team of police was deployed there under the leadership of Station House Officer of Sadar Sohna. A senior official of the department said on the condition of anonymity that out of the three farmhouses that have been sealed, one belongs to Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi. This farmhouse is built in an area of about one and a half acres.
Have been embroiled in many controversies before
Please tell that Daler Mehndi has come in controversies many times before. A case was registered against him in the year 2003 on charges of pigeon hopping. Daler Mehndi was accused of running an illegal immigration group along with brother Shamsher. Through this he took 10 people abroad between 1998 and 1999 and left them there. The trial court of Patiala had also convicted Daler Mehndi in this 19-year-old case of human trafficking. After this, on March 16, 2018, he was sentenced to two years.
