Heavy rainfall expected in Raigad, Mumbai in coming days, says IMD

Throughout the day, Mumbai and its suburbs experienced moderate to heavy rainfall, and the weather department has issued an orange alert for the city for Wednesday, predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall at some locations. Today, the IMD has issued a ‘Red’ alert for the districts of Palghar and Raigad and a ‘Orange’ alert for Thane, Mumbai, and Ratnagiri. In Gujarat, one NDRF unit has been deployed in each of the districts of Gir Somnath, Kutch, Navsari, Valsad, Amreli, and Rajkot due to today’s heavy rainfall.
