OnePlus 10T 5G review: Ticks the right boxes

After a year’s break, OnePlus is back with its T series phone and the latest one is called the OnePlus 10T, of course, with 5G tag attached. Is it worth paying around Rs 50,000 for this one? Read our full review to find out.

  • The OnePlus 8T was our most recent OnePlus T series device.
  • The most recent model of OnePlus’ T series phone is known as the OnePlus 10T.
  • The OnePlus 10T costs Rs 49,999 at launch. Additionally, bank offers are accessible.

The OnePlus 8T was our most recent OnePlus T series device. Because the business already had the OnePlus 9 series, which offered nearly everything a flagship phone would have to offer, CEO Pete Lau decided not to release the OnePlus 9T last year. That, in my opinion, made sense because most manufacturers have mostly found that delivering a phone just for the purpose of launching it is a deal-breaker. After a year-long hiatus, OnePlus has returned with its T line of smartphones, the latest of which is the OnePlus 10T, which of course has the 5G label.

After using the OnePlus 10T 5G for about two weeks, I can attest that it not only performs flawlessly in use, despite its impressive appearance on paper. And the reason for that is, of course, that the OnePlus 10T 5G is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the company’s most potent mobile processor at the moment. The crisp software is the cherry on top, working in tandem with the chip to provide a seamless user experience. The smartphone is powered by OxygenOS 12.1 on top of Android 12.

OnePlus provides much more with the 10T than just excellent performance. There are certainly some areas that might be improved, but every fantastic thing also has weaknesses, and this is also true of the recently released OnePlus 10T 5G. The smartphone is currently available for purchase on Amazon.in, the OnePlus India shop, and numerous offline retailers all around the nation. Should you spend up to Rs 50,000 on this OnePlus phone is the current question. Let’s examine that in more detail.

OnePlus 10T 5G construction and design

From afar, the OnePlus 10T’s design may resemble the more costly OnePlus 10 Pro, but up close, there are some noticeable differences. An improved version of the 10 Pro is the 10T.

Three cameras are housed inside a sizable square-shaped module on the rear panel. Although the OnePlus 10T’s camera module shares similarities with the 10 Pro’s, it has much more refined edges. To put it another way, they are not as sharp as they were on the 10 Pro. Moonstone Black and Jade Green are the two hues available for the phone.

The green model is the one that is highlighted in the review, but I preferred the black model because it has a matte, sandstone-like surface. The Jade green variant has a lustrous back that also readily picks up fingerprints. In order to take excellent product pictures, I frequently had to clean the phone’s back with my jeans. Therefore, I would have preferred a matte finish over a glossy one for the OnePlus 10T’s back panel. The selfie camera is located in the centre of the front’s hole display. Even the chin and side bezels are pretty slim.

Much like what we would have anticipated from a phone costing Rs 50,000, the OnePlus 10T boasts a robust design and doesn’t seem flimsy at any moment. The OnePlus phone is really nicely constructed and very simple to use all day. Furthermore, it is evenly weighted and doesn’t feel heavy in the hands.

OnePlus 10T 5G screen

The excellent display provided by the OnePlus 10T is readily visible both indoors and outdoors. A 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution of 2412×1080 pixels, 10-bit colours, RGB colour gamut, and HDR10+ is included. A 120hz screen refresh rate is supported by the phone out of the box.

Similar to its rival Samsung, OnePlus has consistently been at the top of the display game, especially for its flagship model. This is also true of the OnePlus 10T. The OnePlus 10T does a really decent job as far as the viewing experience is concerned.

On the OnePlus 10T, I watched the entire season of Never Have I Ever, and the visuals looked extremely remarkable with vivid colours and fine details because of the HDR10+ panel. Additionally, the screen becomes fairly bright, both inside and outside.
