Infosys President Mohit Joshi Resigns

Infosys president Mohit Joshi has resigned from the company to join rival Tech Mahindra, the two firms informed the Stock Exchange.

Infosys stated in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange that Mohit Joshi will be on leave beginning on March 11 and will depart the company on June 9, 2023.

“Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting for the next generation, has announced the resignation of its President, Mohit Joshi. Beginning on March 11, 2023, he will be on leave, and his last day of employment will be June 9, 2023. The Board of Directors expressed their profound gratitude for Mohit Joshi’s contributions and services to the organisation. As President of Infosys, Mohit Joshi oversaw the Financial Services and Healthcare/Life Sciences divisions. He was also the chairman of Edgeverve Systems Ltd, where he oversaw the software division, which included the Finacle global banking platform.

Mohit Joshi was invited to the World Economic Forum’s Global Emerging Leaders programme in 2014. He is Vice-Chairman of the Economic Growth Commission of the Confederation of British Industry and a member of the Young Presidents Organization.

MBA graduate of Delhi University, Mr. Joshi has previously worked as a Corporate and Investment banker for ANZ Grindlays and ABN AMRO. St. Stephen’s College in Delhi awarded him a Bachelor of Arts in history.

Mohit joined Infosys in 2000 and has since served the company in various capacities. He was responsible for leading the Financial Services division in Europe in his previous position. Mohit was designated CEO of Infosys Mexico in 2007 and was instrumental in the establishment of the company’s first subsidiary in Latin America.

Additionally, he was a Non-Executive Director at Aviva Plc. He is a member of the Nomination and Risk & Governance committees.
