Although there are over 20,000 Indians living in Israel, Israel’s Consul General in Mumbai Kobbi Shoshani stated that he was unaware of any Indian nationals being hurt or killed in the recent fighting between Israeli forces and Hamas militants. Hamas is responsible for the most of the violence in the region. On Tuesday, he told PTI that airline operations between India and Israel had been suspended, and that the Ministry of External Affairs was attempting to bring back Indians who had become stuck in his country as a result.
“We do not know about any deaths or injuries that occurred to Indian civilians while they were staying in Israel,” the spokesperson said. In the event that we learn more about any particular situation, I will take action myself. More than 20,000 people of Indian descent currently reside in the country of Israel. Shoshani stated that he was unaware of the precise number of Indians that were stranded in Israel.
According to him, a number of Bollywood actors were participating in an event that was taking place in Israel on Saturday when Hamas began its invasions. He also mentioned that the actor Nushrratt Bharuccha had just recently returned to India after a successful trip to Israel.
