PM Modi conducted a massive roadshow in Mysuru on Sunday to bolster the BJP’s campaign for the Karnataka assembly elections.
On both sides of the road, a large number of people and BJP supporters had gathered to greet the Prime Minister.
PM Modi was on a specially designed vehicle and waved to people in response to their greetings.
Along the route, people also scattered flowers and brandished BJP flags as a show of support.
KS Eshwarappa, a former BJP leader, was present alongside the Prime Minister during the procession. Notably, he declared his retirement from electoral politics just prior to the party’s candidate announcement.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi criticized the Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) parties as “symbols of instability” and stated that the people of Karnataka have decided to end the rule of unstable coalition administrations.
PM Modi stated, while addressing a public gathering in Belur, “This time, the people of Karnataka have resolved to end the unstable governments that have governed the state for decades. Both Congress and JD(S) represent instability. In whichever state the Congress party remains, it is only the struggle between regional leaders that makes headlines.
“Everyone is closely observing the events in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. People are in an abysmal state, and development efforts have ceased. While Congress is engaged in intraparty conflict. JD(S) is in a reverie. It is the Congress party’s B Team, and it desires a piece of the loot,” he added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is conducting a number of election rallies and roadshows during the final phase of campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
