German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated on Sunday that his government wants to make it easier for Indian IT professionals to obtain work visas in Germany.

Scholz stated that the plan would be to make it easier for skilled workers needed in Germany to enter the country with their families.
25-26 February, Scholz was on an official visit to India. He was accompanied by high-ranking government officials and an influential business delegation.
Scholz made his most recent remarks on the second day of his India visit.
According to the German chancellor, Germany will require a large number of skilled workers to meet the nation’s demand for software development.
He stated that people should initially be able to enter Germany without a specific job offer.
Relaxing language requirements would also make Germany more attractive to highly sought-after professionals who might otherwise be attracted to English-speaking nations.
“It is obvious that anyone coming to Germany as an IT specialist will be able to communicate with all of his or her colleagues in English,” Scholz said, adding that German could be learned later, as reported by DW.
Scholz stated, “Many reform proposals have already been collected, and we continue to work on them.”
Scholz visited IT firms in Bengaluru on Sunday, including a site operated by the German software firm SAP. He was joined by company representatives.
He also met with officials and players from the Royal Challengers Bangalore Indian Premier League cricket team.
Scholz stated on Saturday that India has experienced a tremendous rise and emphasised that this is “excellent” for bilateral relations. Scholz noted in a joint press conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the development of IT and software is booming in India.
“India has undertaken a tremendous ascent, and much has transpired; this is also beneficial for the relations between our countries. The world is suffering as a result of Russia’s aggressive behaviour. ensuring immediate food and energy supplies, “Scholz said.
He went on to say, “We need talent, we need skilled workers. The development of IT and software is thriving in India, and the country is home to numerous capable businesses. India possesses an abundance of talent, and we wish to profit from that corporation. We wish to recruit and attract these individuals in Germany.”
