Prime Minister Modi inaugurate water supply projects worth Rs 2,500 crore in Shivamogga and Beklagavi in Karnataka.

the water supply projects implemented as part of the Centre’s flagship ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ will benefit over 13 lakh residents of the two districts.

On February 6, Prime Minister Modi laid the cornerstones for two Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Tumakuru, Karnataka, at Tiptur and Chikkanayakanahalli. The Tiptur Multi-Village Drinking Water Supply Project was completed at a cost of over Rs 430 crore, according to the announcement.

The multi-village water supply scheme for 147 habitations of Chikkanayakanahlli taluk cost approximately Rs 115 crore to implement. The projects will facilitate the distribution of potable water throughout the region.

On January 19, PM Modi laid the foundation stone at Kodekal in the Yadgiri district of Karnataka for the Yadgiri multi-village drinking water supply scheme under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The proposal called for the construction of a 117 MLD water treatment plant. The project will provide potable water to approximately 2,300,000 households in more than 700 rural settlements and three towns in the Yadgiri district at a cost of over Rs 2,050 crore.

According to the release, the projects have been initiated as part of PM Modi’s unwavering commitment to providing safe drinking water to every household in the country.

In the majority of the most recent projects inaugurated by PM Modi in multiple states, water supply projects predominate.

In October of the previous year, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated water supply projects in Banaskantha, Junagarh, Rajkot, Vyara, and Porbandar, among other areas of Gujarat. He laid the cornerstone for two water supply projects in Rajkot.

In Vyara and Tapi, Prime Minister Modi laid the cornerstone for water supply projects totaling more than Rs 300 crore.

In October of last year, in Jamnagar, Gujarat, he laid the cornerstone for the Kalavad Group augmentation water supply scheme of Kalavad/Jamnagar Taluka and the Morbi-Maliya-Jodiya group augmentation water supply scheme.
