Global Health Limited, a premier private multi-specialty tertiary care provider, and DLF Group (DLF), a real estate major, have reached an agreement to incorporate and open a 400-bed multi-super speciality hospital in the middle of Delhi. Medanta and DLF will each hold 50% of the new company’s stock. DLF will act as a strategic investor, while Medanta will manage the facility’s day-to-day operations.
The hospital will offer state-of-the-art care in over 20 different medical sub-disciplines, such as cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, transplantation (kidney, liver, lung, and heart), gastrointestinal, thoracic, and thoracic surgery. According to the firm, the hospital will also have a Comprehensive Cancer Care centre, providing patients with access to a full spectrum of cancer services.
Medanta’s footprint in the Delhi Metropolitan Area would be bolstered by this new building. Medanta’s 1,391-bed flagship hospital in Gurugram, its soon-to-be-built 550-bed facility in Noida, and the future hospital in South Delhi will all function as one unified entity under the company’s management.

According to Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director of Global Health Limited, “it will also become a one-stop solution for all types of cancer treatments, and will benefit a large swath of patients not only in Delhi, but across Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and other neighbouring states.”

Global Health Limited is one of the major private multi-specialty tertiary care providers in the North and East areas of India. It was founded by Dr. Naresh Trehan, a world-renowned cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeon. The organisation operates a chain of hospitals known as Medanta in five cities across India: Gurugram, Indore, Ranchi, Lucknow, and Patna. As of June 30, 2023, its hospitals will have 2,725 operating beds spread across a total space of 4.7 million square feet. There is currently one hospital being built in Noida.
DLF has constructed over 340,000,000 square feet of real estate over more than 158 separate projects. DLF Group is sitting on about 215 msf of untapped potential across the residential and commercial markets. They have an annuity portfolio of over 42 msf.
