PM Modi will Visit to Odisha train accident site, where a triple train accident killed nearly 300 persons on Friday. Additionally, PM Modi will visit the Cuttack hospital where the injured have been admitted.
According to the specifics, the prime minister will visit the accident site and then the hospital in Cuttack where the injured have been admitted.
According to government source, the prime minister convened a meeting earlier today to review the situation surrounding the Odisha railway accident.
The railways announced today that rescue operations at the disaster site have concluded.
The train crash, the fourth deadliest in India according to available records, occurred near the Bahanaga Baazar station in Balasore district, about 250 km south of Kolkata and 170 km north of Bhubaneswar, around 7 pm on Friday, prompting the Railway Ministry to order a probe.
The investigation into the train accident will be headed by AM Chowdhary, Commissioner of Railway Safety for the South East Circle, according to a statement from the Indian Railways. The Commissioner of Railway Safety is subordinate to the Department of Civil Aviation.
