In a letter to election-bound Madhya Pradesh, which is scheduled to hold Assembly elections on November 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the state has transitioned from a “bimaru” state to one that is self-sufficient over the past two decades.
Modi stated in the letter, “Madhya Pradesh has evolved from a ‘bimaru’ state to one that is robust, prosperous, and self-sufficient over the last two decades. One cannot ignore the state of Madhya Pradesh in 2003, which was plagued by inadequate infrastructure including electricity, water, and roads.”
A further jab at the Congress party, Prime Minister Modi stated that the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh encountered numerous challenges in terms of public welfare and state development prior to 2014, “due to the’sautela’ treatment” it received from the Congress government at the centre.
He added that the state began to see a bright future after the BJP assumed control at the national level.
“Today, the entire nation is aware that Madhya Pradesh has experienced a significant increase in capacity since the BJP assumed control at the national level in 2014. By working together, we have secured a prosperous future for the state and commemorated its glorious past. The double-engine government’s persistent endeavors have propelled Madhya Pradesh towards an imminent position among the top three state economies in the nation.

Modi, who shared the letter on X, formerly Twitter, stated, “With the assistance of our Madhya Pradesh family members, we have not only accomplished unprecedented progress in the state over the past two decades, but we have also earned the confidence of the people. “I am certain that once again, you will grant the BJP your blessings.”
The Prime Minister stated that whenever he paid a visit to an MP, he was invigorated by the state’s citizens’ profound affection for him. He further stated that the manner in which MP was progressing along the path to development was cause for great joy.
Additionally, he stated that Madhya Pradesh has risen to one of the nation’s top ten economies within the past two decades.
“Because of the confidence you have placed in us over the past two decades, Madhya Pradesh has risen to the ranks of the top ten economies.” I am proud to say that over the past two decades, over 5 lakh roads have been built, the economy has grown by 16 percent, over 65 lakh homes have access to water, and over 28,000 watts of electricity have been generated due to the efforts of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the BJP.
MP’s development model, according to Modi, has become an example for the entire nation to emulate in its pursuit of holistic upliftment, the welfare of women, and the improvement of the impoverished.
In order to fulfill its commitment to improving the conditions of the impoverished, the BJP administration in Maharashtra has implemented a number of initiatives aimed at aiding the disadvantaged. As a consequence, in excess of 1.36 crore individuals have risen out of poverty. With the well-being of women as our primary concern, we have laboriously and ceaselessly served the state’s cherished sisters. The future of the state’s cultivators, Dalits, Adivasis, and youth has been brightened as a result of numerous welfare programs, the prime minister stated today.
Modi stated that Madhya Pradesh has always held a special place in his heart. He explained that the state’s electorate ensured the BJP’s victory in 2014 and 2019 for this reason.
“I am certain that you will once again extend your unwavering support to me directly this time around, and your conviction will guarantee that the BJP once again forms a double-engine government,” Modi concluded.
