Tuesday, police in combat gear arrived at the Lahore residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan in the Zaman Park neighbourhood. According to local media reports, the police are outside Khan’s residence with the intention of arresting the former Pakistani prime minister.
As armoured vehicles approached Imran Khan’s residence, his party, the PTI, exhorted supporters to reach Zaman Park as quickly as possible.According to a report by Dawn, Islamabad Deputy Inspector General (DIG) (Operations) Shahzad Bukhari stated that officials had congregated outside Imran Khan’s home to arrest the PTI leader.
It is currently unknown in which case police have come to apprehend Imran Khan, as the former Pakistani prime minister has outstanding arrest warrants in multiple cases.

The DIG of Islamabad did not disclose the specifics of the case in which Imran Khan faces incarceration.As a large number of Imran Khan’s supporters gathered outside his residence, the police resorted to water cannons and tear gas. All roads leading to the domicile of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman are blocked by the police, and a large number of PTI workers armed with clubs are present outside the 70-year-old leader’s home to resist the police action.
Farrukh Habib, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, stated that Imran Khan’s life was in peril. Farrukh Habib stated on Twitter, “Attendance at F8 Court is nothing less than a death trap.”The arrest warrants against Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case have been challenged in the Islamabad High Court, according to Fawad Chaudhry of the PTI. He stated that the hearing was anticipated to occur shortly.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the primary organiser of Pakistan’s ruling party PML-N, stated, “Today, if any police officer or soldier is injured in Zaman Park, Imran will be responsible. “The nation’s men are not idle; they are performing their duties.”Imran Khan had led tens of thousands of his supporters in a march the day before Islamabad police arrived to detain him on two no-bail arrest warrants. The two non-bailable arrest warrants were issued against him for neglecting to appear in court in the Toshakhana case and for threatening a female magistrate while speaking at a public event in this city last year.

Nonetheless, an Islamabad court suspended Imran Khan’s non-bailable arrest warrant until March 16 for menacing a female magistrate while addressing a public gathering in Islamabad last year.
