According to the announcement, recruitment is taking place across Central Government Departments and State Governments/UTs supporting this initiative.
The new recruits, chosen from across the nation, will fill positions such as Gramin Dak Sevaks, Inspector of Posts, Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk, Junior clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Accounts Clerk, Track Maintainer, Assistant Section Officer, Lower Division Clerk, Sub Divisional Officer, Tax Assistants, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Inspectors, Nursing Officers, Assistant Security Officers, Fireman, Assistant Accounts officer, Assistant Audit officer, Divisional Accountant, and Divisional Accountant.
The Rozgar Mela is a step towards the fulfillment of the Prime Minister’s pledge to give the utmost priority to job creation. The Rozgar Mela is anticipated to serve as a catalyst for the creation of additional jobs and provide meaningful opportunities for youth empowerment and participation in national development, according to the release.

Newly appointed government employees will also have the opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online orientation program for all newly appointed government employees. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the first phase of the ‘Rozgar Mela’ on October 22, 2016, signaling the commencement of the campaign to provide 10 lakh government jobs.
