The actor Sooraj Pancholi requested blessings at the Siddhivinayak temple in the Prabhadevi neighborhood of Mumbai. Friday, the court acquitted him in the Jiah Khan suicide case.

The actor Sooraj Pancholi visited the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai on Saturday, a day after being exonerated in the suicide case of actor Jiah Khan. The special CBI court found him not guilty, citing “insufficient evidence” against him. In 2013, he was accused with aiding the suicide of actor Jiah Khan.

After leaving court as a free man, Sooraj was observed entering a Mumbai temple. On the premises of the sanctuary, numerous paparazzi and media were observed. The actor arrived in a black T-shirt, white jacket, and black trousers.

After performing puja, he returned to the temple’s main entrance and posed for photographs while the media awaited his arrival. Officers accompanied him to the location. He also posed for photographs with a few admirers.

The parents of Sooraj are Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab. He made his Bollywood début alongside Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty in the 2015 film Hero. Salman Khan and Subhash Ghai supported the motion picture. In addition to Hero, he starred in Satellite Shankar and Time to Dance. However, none of his films impressed critics or performed well at the box office.

On June 3, 2013, Jiah Khan was discovered dead in her Mumbai home. She was 25 years old. Sooraj was the primary suspect in her death case and was arrested by the Mumbai Police on June 10, 2013, after a letter written by Jiah containing allegations of mental and physical abuse by Sooraj was discovered. Sooraj was granted parole in July.

In an interview with media, Sooraj stated, “During Jiah’s darkest hour, I was the only person present. Her family is currently seeking justice, but what justice are they referring to when they were never there for their daughter when she needed them? I informed Jiah’s family that she is depressed, and I did everything I could for her at the time. Let me reiterate that I was only 20 years old at the time. Even though I was incapable of caring for myself, I did my best to look after Jiah, who was a few years elder than me. Ultimately, she required the support of her family, not mine. The sad reality is that Jiah’s family and mother were only present in her life when they required financial assistance.
