CR Kesavan, a Congress media panellist and grandson of the first Indian Governor-General C Rajagopalachari, resigned from the party on Thursday, citing a lack of “any vestige of the value that made him work for the party for over two decades.”
I have been a member of the Congress party for last 22 years, but unfortunately over a period of time, I feel in INC, the attitude and approach were neither constructive nor concrete. The values which I worked for, had changed: CR Kesavan on his resignation from Congress party pic.twitter.com/s2xLItJQks

Additionally, he has resigned as a trustee for the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee Charitable Trust.
“I can no longer say with a clear conscience that I agree with what the Party currently represents, stands for, and seeks to propagate. This is why I recently declined a national organisational responsibility and did not participate in the Bharat Jodo Yatra,” Kesavan wrote in his resignation letter.
However, Rajaji’s grandson confirmed that he has not held any discussions with other political parties and was uncertain of his future.
“I have not spoken to anyone and have no idea what will transpire next. I will strive in good faith to serve our nation resolutely through a political platform. It will be one in which I can continue to steadfastly uphold the integrity and ideals of public life, as instilled and defended by the founding fathers and mothers of our great nation and by my great-grandfather C Rajagopalachari,” CR Kesavan wrote in his letter.
