Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti, also called Netaji Jayanti, is a national holiday in India that is celebrated on January 23 as Parakram Diwas 2023. It honours the birth of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, an important Indian freedom fighter. This year, the country celebrates Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 126th birthday. On his 124th birthday, which was in 2021, his birthday was celebrated as Parakram Divas for the first time. It is a holiday in the states of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Tripura, and Assam. The Indian government honours Netaji on this Day.

Importance of Parakram Diwas 2023 :

The purpose of the holiday is to remember and honour Netaji’s great love for his country and his strong will. He was very important to the cause of Indian freedom. Netaji was a well-known politician, freedom fighter, and nationalist. This day was made to encourage Indians, especially young people, to try to be as strong, persistent, selfless, and patriotic as he was, even though he was mistreated. He was in charge of the Indian National Army (Azad Hind Fouj). He was the first leader of the Azad Hind Government, which he started.

About Subhash Chandra Bose Netaji

Netaji was born in Cuttack, Odisha, on January 23, 1897. After getting a degree in philosophy, he was chosen for the Indian Civil Services. He didn’t want to work for the British Government, so he didn’t want to join.
Later, in 1919, he went to England to finish the Indian Civil Service (I.C.S.). He was fourth in his class and got the highest score in English. He didn’t want to work for the British government, so in 1921 he quit and went back to India.

Netaji’s political mentor, Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das, told him to join the Indian National Congress (I.N.C.) when he went back to India. In 1921, Netaji became a member of the Indian National Congress.
Swami Vivekananda was his spiritual leader, and his ideas had a big impact on him. In 1923, Bose was chosen to be the president of the All India Youth Congress. In 1938 and 1939, he was the president of the Congress.

Bose was an excellent student and a true supporter of India. Netaji Bose got his B.A. in philosophy from the University of Calcutta’s Scottish Church College.
During World War II, Netaji led a group of 5,000 people called the Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army) in Southeast Asia. The group’s slogan was “Delhi Chalo,” which means “Save Delhi.” He also started a new political party so that people in his home state of Bengal would vote for him.
The government says that Netaji got third-degree burns on August 18, 1945, when his plane crashed near Tohuku, which is in Japanese Taiwan. Even though his death was confirmed by the government in 2017, there are still rumours about where he is.

“The Indian Struggle” was the name of the book he had written. The book is about the fight for Indian independence from 1920 to 1942.
