‘One person, one ideology cannot make or break a country’ : Mohan Bhagwat

RSS chief said “good countries” have multitude of thoughts and that they grow with having all kinds of systems put in place.

On Tuesday, Mohan Bhagwat expressed his belief that a single individual, a single idea, or a single group cannot be responsible for the success or failure of a nation. He stated that “excellent countries” have many different ideas and that their growth is due to the implementation of many different types of political systems.

“One individual, one thinking, one group, or one ideology cannot make or break a country…the good countries of the world have people who hold a wide variety of beliefs.” ‘They also have all kinds of systems, and they are expanding with this plurality of systems,’Mohan Bhagwat  said during an award ceremony that had been organised by the Rajrantna Puraskar Samiti.

The comment made by the head of the RSS is in opposition to the idea for ‘one nation, one election’ that has been proposed by the central government that is led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The proposal has been receiving a lot of support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has referred to it as a “need of the country.

” According to him, elections are being held on a monthly basis at varying levels, which has an effect on the work being done to improve the country. In a meeting with BJP workers from different parts of the country that took place in 2017, Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed his position on the idea and described how consolidating the country’s voter rolls into a single database would save both time and money.

Earlier, the Law Commission solicited the feedback of a wide variety of interested parties about the conduct of simultaneous elections, the appointment of the Prime Minister and chief ministers, and the selection of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.

Opposition parties have voiced their disapproval of the action and have noted that the BJP “only understands one word, and that word is one.” They kept humming the same melody despite having only mentioned one faith, one language, one food, one culture, one tax, one exam, and one fertiliser. According to an earlier statement made by the DMK, “cheating and diversionary techniques are the only cures they have for all diseases.”
