PM Modi to inaugurate new line line of Bengaluru metro today

In a thrust towards urban mobility infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a new section of Bengaluru Metro Phase 2 on Saturday.

Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a new section of Bengaluru Metro Phase 2 as part of an initiative to improve urban mobility infrastructure.On Saturday, the Prime Minister will travel to Karnataka, which will soon be holding elections.

“I will be in Karnataka on March 25, 2019. In Chikkaballapur, the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research will be inaugurated. After that, Prime Minister Modi will be in Bengaluru to inaugurate the Whitefield (Kadugodi) to Krishnarajapura Metro Line of the Bangalore Metro,” he tweeted.

In Chikkaballapur, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Sri Madhusudana Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR) as part of an initiative to assist students access new opportunities and provide accessible and affordable healthcare in the region.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence has established the institute in Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli, Chikkaballapur. SMSIMSR, which is located in a rural area and was founded with the goal of de-commercializing medical education and healthcare, will provide free medical education and quality medical care. The institute will begin operations in the 2023-2004 academic year.

Built at a cost of approximately 4,250 crores, the inauguration of this metro line will provide commuters in Bengaluru with a clean, safe, rapid, and comfortable travel facility, enhancing the city’s mobility and reducing traffic congestion, according to the PMO.
