Kailash Gahlot, Raaj Kumar Anand get Sisodia’s portfolios. Who gets what

Manish Sisodia was holding 18 portfolios of 33 departments including education, finance, planning, urban development among others.

On Tuesday, the responsibilities of the departments that Manish Sisodia had been overseeing were transferred to Kailash Gahlot and Raaj Kumar Anand by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, who had accepted the resignations of two ministers, Satyendar Jain and Manish Sisodia, from their positions in the cabinet. Sisodia’s request to have the Supreme Court declare that his arrest was unlawful was denied, and this led to Sisodia’s resignation. He was in charge of 18 portfolios across 33 departments, including education, finance, planning, and municipal development, among other responsibilities.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) placed Sisodia under arrest on February 26 in association with the Delhi excise policy case for alleged irregularities related to the case. On the other hand, Jain was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in May of the previous year in connection with an investigation into allegations of money laundering. Seven of Sisodia’s 18 categories were ones that Jain had previously been responsible for. Gahlot and Anand will be in charge of managing these investments from this point forward.
