Twitter disables direct message feature.

Twitter users can still DM through the messages tab which is visible for both IOS and Android users for now.

Twitter has taken away the option to send a direct message to another account straight from the profile page on Android and iOS.

The DM (direct message) button is now next to the “follow” button, and the “notifications” icon has gone away without being replaced. The report seems to be true for everyone who uses Twitter, and it is thought to be a small bug.

Google also said that the button is still there on the microblogging site on the web app. It’s not clear if Twitter meant for the change to happen.

Still, Twitter users can still send a direct message by searching for the desired account in the messages tab.

A few days ago, Elon Musk said that a high-priced subscription plan with no ads would be coming out in the next few weeks. He also said that users would not have to use the “For You” algorithmic timeline after the next update.

Several Android users, some of whom also use Twitter, say that the DM option has been taken away. But several iPhone owners have also mentioned this problem. Other iPhone owners, on the other hand, said that the button worked fine for them. 9to5Google heard from a person who said that the option was gone on his Android phone but that he could still see it on an iPhone that was signed in with the same account.

This may be fixed soon by the company. In the meantime, users can still send a direct message on Twitter. Users have to look for the account they want to message in the messages tab.
