US’ Resolve Tibet Act has intensified tiff between China
The Tibet Press said that the China-Tibet dispute has escalated once more as a result of a bill that US lawmakers have introduced in the House of Representatives and the Senate to enhance American policy for the peaceful resolution of their disagreements on Tibet. The Resolve Tibet Act, also known as the Bill, will reportedly make it official US policy that China must reopen communication with the Dalai Lama’s representatives as long as the conflict between Tibet and China is still ongoing and Tibet’s legal status has not yet been established in accordance with international law, according to Tibet Press.
The timing of the legislation is crucial because Penpa Tsering’s visit to the US was when it was introduced. The President of the Central Tibetan Administration is Tsering. He is in Washington to meet with US representatives, including the bill’s primary sponsors and members of the Biden administration.
Beijing has previously accused the Dalai Lama of engaging in “separatist” activities and attempting to partition Tibet. But according to the “Middle-Way approach,” the spiritual head of Tibet has stressed that he is not aiming for independence but rather “real autonomy for all Tibetans residing in the three ancient regions of Tibet.”
According to Tibet Press, the Resolve Tibet Act offers fresh hope for a peaceful resolution to the country’s protracted problem in Tibet.
The oppression of Tibetans under the totalitarian rule of China continues, and the area is increasingly under constant observation.
According to Tibet Press, Tibetans are subjected to harsher punishments and closer surveillance than inhabitants of other nations because of the political sensitivity of the area.
According to several media reports, the Tibetan people are still being persecuted, harassed, abused, and tormented on their own soil.
