The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicts extremely heavy rainfall in several parts of the country today. . On July 4th, the IMD forecasts extremely heavy rainfall in Kerala, Coastal & South Interior Karnataka, and Meghalaya.
According to media, Dakshina Kannada DC Mulai Mugilan announced that all schools and colleges in Mangaluru, Mulki, Ullal, Moodbidri, and Bantwal have declared a holiday due to excessive rainfall.
In Kerala, the IMD has predicted significant rainfall and issued red alerts for two districts and orange alerts for eleven districts.
The weather office has also issued red alerts for the districts of Kannur and Idukki, orange alerts for the districts of Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod, and yellow alerts for the districts of Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam.
The forecast for today in Delhi calls for generally cloudy skies with the possibility of light rain or thunderstorms. The expected maximum and minimum temperatures are 38 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively.
From July 3-7, a yellow alert has been issued for 18 districts in Odisha. According to the IMD forecast, mild to moderate precipitation or thunderstorms are likely to occur in a few Odisha districts. On July 4, between 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on July 5, the IMD predicts that “thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two locations over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, and Bolegir.” Heavy Rainfall very likely to occur at one or two locations over the districts of Nuapada, Nawarangapur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada.”

The southern region of India:
-During the next four days, light to moderate widespread to widespread precipitation with isolated heavy to heavy precipitation is anticipated to continue over the South India region.
-Isolated exceptionally heavy rainfall is also possible over Kerala between the 3rd and 5th of July, as well as the coast and south interior of Karnataka on July 4th.
West Africa
-Favorable to moderate On the 6th and 7th of July, it is likely that Konkan, Goa, and Ghat regions of Madhya Maharashtra, as well as Gujarat, will experience widespread to widespread precipitation, with isolated heavy to very heavy downpours.

-Heavy to Very Heavy precipitation is likely during the next four days over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur.
-Extremely torrential precipitation fell over Meghalaya on July 4
-Isolated torrential rainfall is also possible over Jharkhand on July 4 and over Odisha from July 5 to 7.

Northeast Asia:
-Light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall is probable over Uttarakhand during the next four days and East Uttar Pradesh during the third through fifth of July; Himachal Pradesh on the fifth and sixth of July.
