Wolves vs Liverpool
The winter transfer window is officially closed, so Wolves vs Liverpool can focus on their Premier League match on Saturday at Molineux. In order to provide Julen Lopetegui the tools he needs to keep them out of the relegation zone this season, the hosts made some excellent acquisitions in January, bringing in Joao Gomes, Mario Lemina, Pablo Sarabia, Craig Dawson, Matheus Cunha, and Dan Bentley.
However, despite the fact that they beat rivals Manchester United to the acquisition of Cody Gakpo, Liverpool was unable to add the midfield reinforcements that their supporters and perhaps Jurgen Klopp behind the scenes have been pleading for during what has otherwise been a quiet window.
At the weekend, they suffered yet another defeat, falling to Brighton 2-1 thanks to an incredible injury-time goal from Kaoru Mitoma that eliminated the FA Cup champions.
The Reds have only won one of their previous six games overall, so they will be trying to rebound against Wolves.

The Merseysiders must win this match in order to climb the rankings and secure a difficult-looking Champions League qualification this season. Currently ninth in the standings and 10 points off the top four slots, the visitors cannot afford to keep dropping points.
Last month, Liverpool defeated Wolves in the FA Cup, but only because a late-game VAR gaffe saved their progression and forced a replay. The embarrassing 0-0 draw they suffered against Chelsea in their most recent league match won’t stick in the mind for very long, so Klopp’s team will be looking to pick up a victory today.
