Turin: Serbia’s tennis star Novak Djokovic has won the ATP Finals title for a record sixth time. Djokovic defeated Kasper Ruud of Norway in the title match. Djokovic defeated Rude 7-5, 6-3 in the title match, earning a historic $ 4.7 million. This match lasted for 93 minutes. He has now equaled the record of Swiss legend Roger Federer, who has won six ATP titles.

“I missed a few forehands in the last game when I was serving for it,” Djokovic told ATP after his win. I was nervous, but I am really grateful that I was able to win the match. Seven years since last winning the title, has been a long time. Plus, the fact that I waited seven years made this win even bigger.

Djokovic won his first ATP Finals title in 2008 in Shanghai. He then won titles in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 and now has a title in Turin, Italy. He is also the oldest champion in the history of the tournament. That he has been able to lift the trophy in three different decades is a testament to his longevity and ability to elevate his game while competing against the best in the sport.
