From 2019 through 2022, Uddhav Thackeray and Ajit Pawar served as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, respectively, as members of the Maha Vikas Aghadi. Political developments in Maharashtra have led to Uddhav joining the opposition while Ajit has joined forces with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of the BJP. Shinde led a rebellion and broke away with the majority of Shiv Sena MLAs and MPs.Uddhav reported that during the meeting, he urged Ajit Pawar to serve the state’s interests and address the problems confronted by farmers and other residents.
