Before to the release of his upcoming family-friendly comedy film “Selfiee,” Akshay Kumar broke the Guinness World Record for Most Selfies taken in three minutes during a meet-and-greet with fans in Mumbai.
Akshay uploaded a series of videos and images from the promotion to Instagram. He wrote, “Everything I have accomplished and where I am in life is due to the unwavering support of my fans. This is my special tribute to them in recognition of their support throughout my career.”
He added, “With the help of my fans, we have broken the Guinness World Record for the Most Selfies taken in three minutes. This was very special, and I will never forget it. Ab selfies hi selfies hongi. See you all at the theatre on Friday.
“Khiladi of Bollywood, known for his daredevil stunts and unique records, is now the Guinness World Record title holder for this special achievement with 184 selfies.
Previously, Akshay broke the world record of 168 self-portrait photographs (selfies) taken in three minutes by James Smith (USA) aboard the cruise ship Carnival Dream on January 22, 2018. In 2015, Hollywood actor and global icon Dwayne Johnson held this record with 105 self-portrait photographs (selfies) in three minutes at the London premiere of San Andreas.
Speaking about breaking this unique record, Akshay exclaimed, “I am ecstatic to share this moment with my fans after breaking this unique World Record!” Everything I have accomplished thus far and where I am in my life right now is due to the unwavering love and support of my fans worldwide.
This was my way of recognising their unwavering support for me and my career throughout its entirety.

Driving License is an official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film starring Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
The film is directed by Raj Mehta and stars Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Nushrat Bharucha, and Diana Penty. It is scheduled for release on February 24, 2023.
