Akshay Kumar has discussed the renaming of his film Mission Raniganj in an interview. Akshay stated in an interview with News18 that changing the film’s title was not incorrect. The film starring Akshay Kumar was retitled Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue last month, in response to the controversy surrounding the government’s decision to rename the nation from India to Bharat. It was formerly known as Mission Raniganj: The Great Indian Rescue.
Akshay on Mission Raniganj’s name change
On Friday, theaters welcomed Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue, which also featured Parineeti Chopra in a central role. When queried about the name alteration, Akshay responded, “Would there be any adverse consequences if we adopted the appellation Bharat?” True, no. Therefore, merely partake in pleasure.”
When informed that India is also correct, the actor responded to the portal as follows: “I concur that India is neither incorrect nor incorrect. “Our constitution already includes the wonderful name Bharat, so we decided to alter it.”
About Mission Raniganj
Cast and production announced the title change and released the film’s first look poster last month. Akshay Kumar had written on X (previously Twitter): “Heroes show integrity without waiting for accolades! “On October 6, Bharat will release Mission Raniganj, a film that tells the tale of its genuine hero.” The movie posters he distributed bore the inscription “Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue.”
Subash Desai serves as the film’s director. Aside from Akshay and Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya comprise the ensemble cast of Mission Raniganj.
The film chronicles an audacious rescue mission that transports the audience to a depth of 350 feet within a mine, where sixty-five laborers were ensnared. As Jaswant Singh Gill, the individual responsible for India’s most heroic rescue operation beneath the debris, Akshay assumes his persona.

Jackie Shroff was previously among the public figures who commented on the controversy surrounding the renaming of India to Bharat. He had stated that individuals also refer to him by various aliases.
