The upcoming horror comedy film ‘Stree 2’ was formally announced at a grand event in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The actors Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee attended the event to herald the film’s release.

Team ‘Stree’ performed a skit to publicize the sequel’s release date.

The development team disclosed that ‘Stree 2’ will be released on August 31, 2024.

Street, helmed by Amar Kaushik and released in 2018, was deemed a blockbuster success.

Rajkummar and Aparshakti appeared in the horror comedy film ‘Bhediya’ by Varun Dhawan, which was released in November of last year.

The producers of ‘Bhediya’ have also announced the film’s sequel. Varun unveiled the logo for Bhediya 2 at the gala and even made a wolf noise to express his enthusiasm.

Previously, Abhishek Banerjee also discussed the anticipated sequel to ‘Stree’ and stated, “2023 is here!!! And I am very excited to begin this year, but looking back at the work I did last year, I was very anxious about JD aka Jana, as it had to be comparable to Stree while also being challenging. Fortunately, it was well received by the audience. Now the journey of Stree 2 will be extremely thrilling; I just completed Apurva. I’m excited to see how individuals will respond to some extremely extreme characters. This year the playground will be larger and better, so I am looking forward to it.
