Ex-servicemen said idea of Agniveer scheme came from RSS: Rahul Gandhi

“Senior Army people told us that the Agniveer scheme has come from RSS, not the Indian Army, said Congress MP Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi criticised the Narendra Modi administration on Monday over the “Agniveer” programme, alleging that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the ministry of home affairs forced it upon the Army. Senior officers informed us on Agniveers that it appears the RSS pushed the notion on the Army. They claimed that after receiving firearms training for thousands of people, they would soon become civilians amid a high unemployment rate. Gandhi stated on the Motion of Thanks that “the officers informed me that Ajit Doval is the brains behind this concept.

“How come the President’s address only made one mention of the Agniveer Yojana? There was no mention of unemployment or inflation in the speech. Therefore, none of the issues raised by people during the yatra were mentioned in the President’s speech “he continued. The Congressman brought up the Adani situation to pressure the administration. “From Kerala to Kashmir, I only heard one word across the entire nation: Adani. He remarked, displaying a poster of Adani and PM Modi, “When people asked me about this name, they wanted to know how come he was successful in every industry, how come he never failed.

“Youth asked us how Adani’s net worth increased from $8 billion to $140 billion between 2014 and 2022 given that he now operates in 8–10 different sectors. From the apples of Kashmir and Himachal to ports, airports, and even the roads we are walking on, only Adani is being discussed, he claimed. Rahul Gandhi addressed PM Modi’s criticism of him on Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in Tumakuru, Karnataka, yesterday. “The PM claimed that we politicised it, but the truth is that they hired Ambanis and went out of business. Despite having no prior defence experience, Adanis was awarded four contracts, he claimed.
