The Indian short documentary “The Elephant Whisperers” won the Oscar for “Best Documentary Short Film.” Producer Guneet Monga and director Kartika Gonsalves stepped forward to accept the award.

The documentary defeated “Haul Out” and “How Do You Measure a Year?” The titles are ‘The Martha Mitchell Effect’ and ‘Stranger At The Gate’
