The Lunar Orbit Injection (LOI) is scheduled to occur today around 7 p.m. The space agency previously stated that the spacecraft is in good health and that a soft descent on the moon’s surface will be attempted on August 23.

What will occur at 7 o’clock tonight?

The orbit of the spacecraft was altered to bring it within the gravitational influence of the moon. It travelled in an orbit that was 288 kilometres close to Earth and 3,69,328 kilometres far from it.
