It appears that the creators of OMG 2 have realised that fighting with the Censor Board is futile and have instead turned to the Revising Committee and the court. We at Zoom TV Digital have learned that they have chosen to accept the ‘A’ rating and 20 cutbacks.
A source states, “Perhaps they will argue over a few cuts and reduce the number from the current 25 to approximately 20.”
Why then have the creators of OMG 2 decided not to appeal? Our source states, “Time is very close. The film must debut on August 11; that is the optimal release date. And if you do too much kaat-chhat now, you will have to do a significant amount of re-editing and re-dubbing, which is not simple.”
Our source continues, “Look, the creators of OMG 2 are very pleased with their work and confident that the film will perform well. So why interfere so much now?”

Neither the Censors nor the creators of OMG 2 have yet issued an official statement. And neither do we see it coming. Varde and Bahl could not be reached for comment.
Thus, proceed to the theatres. FYI, Amit Rai directed OMG 2 and Aruna Bhatia, Vipul D Shah, Rajiv Bahl, and Ashwin Varde produced it. In addition to Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi play the lead roles.
