Grizzlies showed off Draymond’s Basketball skills.

SAN FRANCISCO — The Warriors beat the Memphis Grizzlies 122-120 in the last second on Wednesday night. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jordan Poole scored 31 of the Warriors’ 32 points in the fourth quarter. Draymond’s  Basketball Green got the last point for his team.

Green was just as important to the Warriors’ victory over their growing rivals as their three-headed scoring monster, so don’t get the wrong idea.

Don’t look at how many points Draymond’s Basketball gets as a way to judge him. Even on a night like when he had 8 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 blocks, and 1 steal against the Grizzlies, you shouldn’t judge him by his box score. To really understand how great Green is, you have to watch him.

His basketball smarts can be subtle at times. The most recent one happened with 2:45 left in the game and the Warriors down by two points, 113-111.

Green looks to his right to see where Grizzlies big man Jaren Jackson Jr. is while Desmond Bane is shooting a 3-pointer. He then blocks Brandon Clarke, beats Jackson to where Bane’s miss was landing, and that’s when one of the smartest players in NBA history always wins. Draymond  Basketball didn’t just get to the ball before Jackson.

He put on Jackson’s body because he knew that the Grizzlies’ best defensive player had five fouls. Green pointed right away in the direction of Golden State. He did everything right to get Jackson to foul out.

Then there’s the last thing that Kerr was able to use when Jackson wasn’t there. He said that made it possible for the Warriors to get smaller as the game went on. Anthony Lamb and Kevon Looney switched places with each other, with Looney playing defence and Lamb playing offence. He was also able to keep DiVincenzo on the court. DiVincenzo helped keep the Warriors’ hopes alive by fighting for a rebound and blocking Ja Morant when Thompson missed a late jumper, and then by passing to Poole.

Poole, Thompson, DiVincenzo, Lamb, and Green played together for 28 seconds. As a team, they were plus-5 and beat the Grizzlies by a score of 5-0.

Draymond’s Basketball Green is a world-class chess player.

“That started in the 2015 NBA Finals, so I’m all for it,” Thompson said of the Warriors’ decision to play with fewer players. “I’m still here and I’m still working. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. It just gives us a lot of space, and since we have so many great scorers on this team, it will be someone’s night.

“Any game, any night, it could be anyone’s.”

When it came to points scored, the Grizzlies were Curry, Thompson, and Poole’s game. Green and the final score are both the same.
