The PGA Tour runs a number of different professional golf tours

The PGA Tour Run is one of the most well-known sports leagues in the world and the most important tour in men’s professional golf. Did you know that it also runs a number of other tours? Most of the best men’s professional golfers play on the main PGA Tour, where they try to win the biggest prize money and earn the highest honours in the game. Its other tours, on the other hand, help up-and-coming players, golfers from Canada, Latin America, over 50s, and anyone else who wants to make it to the big leagues.

Here are some of the other tours run by the main PGA Tour Run.

This is a tour for golfers in the US that helps them get ready for The PGA Tour Run . At the end of the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour Championship, the top 30 players in the standings for the whole season will get to join the PGA Tour for the 2024 season. Tournaments aren’t just held in the U.S.; they also happen in Brazil, Mexico, and Canada, among other places.

The Korn Ferry Tour has had a few different names. In 1990, it was called the Ben Hogan Tour. Since then, it has been called the Nike Tour, the Buy.com Tour, the Nationwide Tour, and the Web.com Tour, depending on who sponsors it.

Tom Lehman, Stewart Cink, Zach Johnson, Jimmy Walker, and the most recent winner, Scottie Scheffler, all won the money list on the Korn Ferry Tour before they won a Major.

Canada’s PGA Tour

This was started in 1970 and taken over by The PGA Tour Run in November 2012. In 2015, Mackenzie investments became the sponsor of the tour. It is an international tour for getting better, and the Korn Ferry Tour is a way to get to the PGA Tour.

In recent years, a number of players have moved up from the “Canadian Tour,” as it is called, to the main tour. JJ Spaun, Joel Dahmen, and Mackenzie Hughes, all of whom won on the PGA Tour, all played on the Canadian Tour first.

PGA TOUR LATINOAMERICA

The PGA Tour Run Latinoamerica started in 2012. It is a development tour run by the PGA Tour that has tournaments all over South America and Mexico.

The winner of the Order of Merit gets a Korn Ferry Tour card, and the next five get spots in Korn Ferry Tour Final Qualifying. Sixth through fiftyth place go to the stage before Final Qualifying.

                 PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS

When it began in 1980, it was called the Senior The PGA Tour Run. After the 2015 season, it changed its name to the PGA Tour Champions. This tour gives golfers over 50 who may not be able to compete regularly at the top of the PGA Tour a chance to play for prizes like the Senior Major Championships.

Aside from the five Senior Majors, which are played over 72 holes and have 36-hole cuts, most of the tournaments are 54 holes with no cut. Players compete each season for the Charles Schwab Cup. Bernhard Langer has won the money list title the most times, with a record of 11. As of 2023, Langer has won more than $30 million on the PGA Tour Champions and 44 titles, one less than Hale Irwin’s record.

           PGA TOUR CHINA

The PGA Tour Run China was another part of the tour’s expansion around the world, but it ended in 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic hit.

It began in 2014 and ran for five full seasons before it was cancelled. The tour’s top finishers on the Order of Merit got Korn Ferry Tour status, which ranged from a full card for the winner to entry into Q-school and some starts for lower finishers.
