Justin Trudeau defends Canada’s rule of law in India diplomatic row.

In the ongoing dispute with India, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has stated that his country will stick by the rule of law.

The diplomatic feud between India and Canada has reached a historic level, with India denouncing Canada as a safe haven for terrorists and suspending visa services for all Canadians. On Thursday, the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, stated that Canada stands by the rule of law in the midst of this diplomatic row. The allegations that India was involved in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar were made by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday, which is when the diplomatic crisis began. The accusation was refuted by India, and the two countries took a number of efforts to smooth over their diplomatic differences. On Thursday, New Delhi underlined its position that despite the fact that the Canadian Prime Minister went on to publicly make claims against India, the Canadian side never shared any particular feedback with India regarding its allegations.

“Because we live in a nation based on the rule of law, it is our responsibility to watch over the legal proceedings and make sure they are carried out in a fair and impartial way. This is exactly what we are doing.” At the same time, we are taking measures to maintain the safety of Canadians and we are maintaining our support for the international order based on norms. This is something that we are doing, and it is something that we are doing together with our partners,” Trudeau stated.
