However, this is not the first incident of calling a gurudwara a mosque. A similar incident happened about two years ago, when the historical gurudwara was declared a mosque. However, then a strong protest was lodged in front of Pakistan from India’s side.

According to reports, India had strongly expressed concern over a similar incident that happened two years ago. India had said that the Gurudwara is a place of reverence and the Sikh community considers it sacred.

At the same time, according to a report of Pakistan’s agency Dawn, a dispute is going on for a long time regarding this Gurudwara of Lahore. Guru Granth Sahib is recited here every day. Activities keep happening in Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj. People of Sikh community are involved in this.

This Gurdwara is located a little outside the walled city of Lahore in the Shaheed Ganj Naloukha area. Fanatics believe that this was once the famous palace of Dara Shikoh. Dara Shikoh served as the governor of Lahore before his assassination at the hands of his younger brother Aurangzeb. At the same time, Sikhs believe that thousands of innocent men, women and children were massacred on the orders of Mir Mannu, the governor of Lahore and the representative of the Mughal Empire.

According to the report, the Sikhs claim that Mir Mannu had given permission to set up a Gurdwara here after agreeing to help him at the behest of Dewan Kaura Mal, after which the charge of Multan was given by Mir Mannu. However, hardliners say that the Sikhs had forcibly captured the mosque.
