Suresh Raina set to feature in Lanka Premier League 2023 player auction

Raina was last seen in action in the Legends League Cricket after announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket in September 2022.

Suresh Raina, a former Indian international and batting legend for the Chennai Super Kings, will entertain the Sri Lankan audience in the upcoming edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL). The southpaw is reportedly one of the players who will be auctioned off during the inaugural LPL player auction.

According to reports, the former Indian middle-order batsman, who is one of the most prolific run-scorers in IPL history, has signed up for the fourth edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) auction at a base price of USD 50,000. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has released a list of international and domestic cricketers who will be auctioned off on June 14.

Raina, 36, was last seen playing in the Legends League Cricket in September 2022, when he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Raina will join former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan as one of the few renowned Indian cricketers to have played in the league. Raina was an integral part of CSK’s four title victories.
