India has recorded 3,016 new cases of Covid-19 in the last twenty-four hours, the most in a single day in nearly six months. In the previous twenty-four hours, the country recorded fourteen fatalities related to the Covid, of which eight were old cases reconciled by Kerala.
The last time there was a greater increase in numbers was on October 2 of last year. On October 2, 2022, 3,375 cases were recorded in total.As of Thursday’s Ministry of Health data update, there were 13,509 active cases in the country. It estimated the monthly rate of positivity to be 1.71 percent.
India reported 2,151 new cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, according to data from the health ministry. So, Thursday’s data indicate a 40% increase in daily cases.With the addition of 14 fatalities, the country’s Covid-19 death toll reached 5,30,862.

The number of individuals who have recovered from the disease has increased to 4,416,8321, while the case fatality rate has been recorded as 1.19 percent.In a span of 24 hours, three Covid-related fatalities were reported in Maharashtra, two in Delhi, and one in Himachal Pradesh, while eight earlier deaths were reconciled by Kerala.
In response to an increase in Covid-19 cases in the nation’s capital, Delhi’s Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj has convened a review meeting on Thursday.The daily positivity was documented at 2.73 percent, according to the most recent data from the health ministry. In the meantime, the national Covid recovery rate was recorded as 98.78%.
