PMPML focuses on 15 routes for better services, without ticket fine revised to ₹500

For improved service, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has decided to concentrate on 15 routes.

In Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, there are currently 1,791 buses operating on 389 routes from 15 depots.

The optimal route for morning and afternoon schedules, which should operate at full capacity, has been specified. On this route, consignments must be delivered within the allotted time and with the specified frequency, and regular or fixed drivers and conductors must be appointed.

Beginning on March 10, commuters discovered travelling without a ticket will be fined 500 yen instead of 300 yen. This action was taken to prevent revenue loss. The decision was made pursuant to Section 178 of the 1988 Motor Vehicle Act. In contrast, anyone discovered misusing or tampering with a PMPML bus or its infrastructure will be subject to a 500 fine.
