Israel’s Gaza invasion delayed until ‘after Joe Biden visit’: Report

According to one report, the Israeli invasion of Gaza has been delayed until after the visit of US President Joe Biden.

According to one report, the Israeli invasion of Gaza has been delayed until after the visit of US President Joe Biden. “Unknown date” has been assigned to the anticipated ground assault, which is expected to occur after the US president leaves the country, according to a report in The Telegraph that cited Israel’s Walla.

Some military commanders, according to the report, are irate about the delay because they believe it will provide Hamas with additional time to prepare. This comes after the Israeli military stated that preparations for its ground operation in the Gaza Strip are still in the planning stages and will be presented to the political leadership of the country.

IDF spokesman Lt Col Richard Hecht stated, “It’s something distinct. We must sever ties with the old Gaza in retaliation. It will have a completely distinct appearance, it will take longer, and it will look entirely different. “While these plans are in the process of being formulated, they will be reviewed and approved by our political leadership.”

Wednesday will mark the visit of US President Joe Biden to Israel, according to Secretary of State Antony Blinken. He is also anticipated to meet with Egyptian and Jordanian authorities, as Palestinians have reported witnessing intense bombardment near two communities in southern Gaza that were targeted by Israeli directives for civilians to seek refuge.

A senior Hamas commander was slain in a separate attack on a refugee camp in central Gaza, according to the organization’s military wing, as thousands of people attempt to flee Gaza via the Rafah border crossing.

Because of the Israeli siege that followed a Hamas attack on Israel on October 7—which has become the deadliest of five Gaza conflicts for both sides—aid workers have warned that life in Gaza was on the verge of collapse. According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 2,778 Palestinians have been slain and 9,700 have been injured. A further 1,200 individuals, living or deceased, are presumed to be entombed beneath the rubble in Gaza. Israel reports that Hamas has liberated at least 199 Israelis who were captured and transported to Gaza, in addition to the over 1,400 Israeli casualties.
