Pakistani Soldiers Fire: With the formation of new army chief in Pakistan, nefarious conspiracy has started on the border. On Friday, Pakistani soldiers fired on Indian farmers and BSF jawans on the border with Rajasthan. In response, BSF gave a befitting reply to Pak-Rangers. The special thing is that there was no incident of cross-border firing between India and Pakistan in the last several years on the border adjacent to Rajasthan, because there is no major dispute between the two countries on the border adjacent to Rajasthan.
An official of the BSF’s headquarters in the capital Delhi said that at around 2 pm on Friday afternoon, five local farmers had gone ahead of the border-fence with BSF jawans for farming on their land in Anupgarh area of Sriganganagar sector of Rajasthan. At the same time Pak-Rangers (Pakistan’s Border Security Force) fired 6-7 rounds on the farmers and BSF jawans present in the border of India. In retaliation, BSF jawans also fired 18 rounds. According to BSF (Border Security Force), there was no casualty on the Indian side in the firing.
India protested
According to the BSF, India has expressed its protest over the Pakistani firing without any provocation and there is a possibility of a flag-meeting between the field commanders of the two countries soon. This is the second major incident of firing between the border-security forces of the two countries in the last 22 months. Earlier in the month of September, the incident of firing on the border also came to light in Arnia sector of Jammu.
Nefarious act of pakistan
The surprising thing is that no firing incident had come to light in Rajasthan for the last several years. Because there is no dispute between the two countries regarding the border here and there is a barbed wire. The farmers of India have fields ahead of the barbed wire where they have been doing agriculture under security cordon with the permission of BSF. Incidents of infiltration for smuggling and espionage keep coming to the fore, about which BSF remains alert. BSF has definitely killed intruders and smugglers by firing, but incidents like cross-border firing are rarely heard.
Pakistan is not improving
Let us tell you that recently the new army chief of Pakistan, Aseem Munir has taken over the command. In such a situation, Friday’s firing incident is also being linked to his taking over the command of the Pakistani Army. In February 2021, India and Pakistan signed a ceasefire agreement to maintain peace on the LoC (Line of Control). Since then there was peace along the Line of Control as well as on the International Border. But it is clear from the incident of firing in Arnia sector in the month of September and now in Sriganganagar of Rajasthan that Pakistan is not going to improve soon.
